welcome to my lair

this is where i put my stuff and whatnot, basically just my scene releases and what of me is on streaming platforms.

how i found the scene

sometime in about 2020 i discovered chiptune music through early c64 tracks like the m.u.l.e. theme by roy glover, or rob hubbard's legendary commando title theme. this led me into a rabbithole, where at the bottom of it i somehow discovered the demoscene in all of its glory. safe to say i do not regret that choice. i took on the scener handle of jaezu in around september of 2021, which corresponds to when the eponymous youtube channel was created.

in july 2022 i found the demogroup moonshine and joined them a short time after. some productions were released (see my scene releases) but nothing really noteworthy. due to a self-perceived lack of output and also motivation, i parted ways with the group in june 2024. the following months, i took a kind of hiatus from the demoscene, as the creative slump i was in at that time wasn't really motivating me to do stuff and i was about to start my final year of school, which meant finals were coming up, but also it was draining me of much-needed energy which in turn meant i couldn't use that for anything scene-related.

this hiatus lasted until the beginning of april 2025, when i suddenly got a burst of motivation and made four tunes in two weeks, all of which were released at battle of the bits ohb compos. by that point, may was nearing, which also meant a bit less pressure as the written finals were slowly wrapping up and only oral finals were ahead sometime in june/july. at the beginning of the month, i posted a scene.org wanted bulletin and after some time, i received an invitation to join a demogroup called void, which i took them up on that offer. i haven't really released anything under that group yet, but as i started my voluntary social year in september i didn't really have much of a chance to do stuff as it does use up most of my energy at the moment. there is a small thing in the works though, and more details may or may not follow later on. don't know just yet.
